Fall Creek Junior High School received a comprehensive renovation and addition that reshaped the building’s entry sequence and modernized key instructional spaces. A new building addition now serves as the main secure entry and houses an updated administrative office suite. Inside the original building, spaces such as Art and FACS were fully reconfigured and renovated, while other academic areas received new flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, LED lighting, cabinetry, and equipment. All restrooms were completely renovated, academic lockers were replaced, and the large skylight in the library was removed and rebuilt to improve long-term performance.
One of the project’s primary challenges was a narrow connection point between the academic and activity wings, previously home to the main office. This bottleneck created significant circulation issues during the school day. In addition, construction occurred while students remained in the building, requiring careful phasing and close coordination among the school, the CMc, and BCV to maintain safety and uninterrupted daily operations.
The completed secure entry and office addition establishes a true main entrance for the school while introducing a second major student circulation route that eases movement between the two sides of the building. Across the facility, durable new finishes and updated equipment align with the high-quality standards Hamilton Southeastern Schools has implemented at other district buildings.
