Goshen High School set out to significantly improve its baseball and softball facilities, addressing long-standing limitations that prevented both programs from being fully supported on campus. Prior to the project, Goshen softball competed off-site at a public park that was prone to flooding, often resulting in game cancellations. The new baseball-softball complex includes two turf fields, each equipped with a press box and spectator seating, along with a ticket booth at the main entry and a centrally located building housing concessions, restrooms, and locker rooms.

Identifying a suitable site for the complex proved challenging within Goshen’s urban setting. Multiple locations were evaluated before selecting a farmland site south of Prairie View Elementary School. Because the complex is not located directly on the high school campus, additional planning was required to accommodate locker rooms and other support spaces typically provided on-site.

The completed complex eliminates weather-related cancellations and gives Goshen student-athletes a state-of-the-art home for competition. The new facility allows games to be hosted locally for the first time, strengthening school pride and bringing the broader community together to support the Redhawks. In its first season, the new baseball field helped propel the team to a semi-state championship appearance, underscoring the impact of the upgraded facilities.
