This new 191,806-square-foot facility provides Plymouth Community School Corporation’s seventh and eighth graders with a modern, flexible learning environment designed for collaboration, activity, and growth. The building features a two-story academic wing with stacked grade levels, a cafetorium with a stage adjoining the performing arts area, and a three-court fieldhouse-style gymnasium complete with a running track, locker rooms, and athletic storage.

The original Lincoln Junior High had undergone multiple additions over time, but its load-bearing walls limited classroom configurations and made modernization impractical. The district ultimately chose to construct a new facility on adjacent property, requiring a carefully planned sequence of new construction, demolition, and site conversion to keep operations running smoothly throughout the process.

The resulting school offers appropriately sized, technology-ready classrooms and activity spaces tailored to middle school learning, with systems and finishes designed for long-term performance and flexibility. The historic portion of the former building was preserved and adapted for district support functions, housing offices and spaces for alternative and career education—honoring the school’s legacy while positioning the district for the future.
