An intensive phased construction, demolition, and renovation creating a 75% new building, 25% renovated building on a tight existing site. The new exterior was designed to echo and modernize the look of the historic facade.
Special features included a new cafeteria and kitchen, integrated technology and hearing assistance, restrooms open to the hallway, and two playgrounds.
The project required complex phasing required to add on and demolish portions of old building in order to successfully pull off the project without displacing any students.
