When rising enrollment required the reopening of the long-closed Doe Creek Middle School, New Palestine Community Schools turned to BCV to revitalize the building for its new role as a junior high. The goal was to transform the dated, mothballed facility into a welcoming, functional, and modern learning environment—all on a tight timeline and budget.
Key challenges included outdated finishes, a small cafeteria, and the need for a secure office entry. BCV addressed these by enlarging the cafeteria through the conversion of two computer labs, creating a secure office entrance with updated reception areas, and transforming the library into a vibrant media center. New colors and finishes throughout the floors, walls, and ceilings gave the school a fresh, engaging identity for students and staff.
Completed in just three months, the renovation successfully reinvigorated the building, allowing it to reopen on schedule and provide students with a safe, modern, and inspiring environment for learning.
