The St. Joseph Central Elementary School project was a comprehensive transformation of the 70,820 sq. ft. school, revitalizing both the interior and exterior to create a welcoming, future-ready environment for students and staff. The design introduced a new facade with updated paneling and windows, refreshed all interior spaces, and replaced outdated mechanical systems with a modern HVAC upgrade. Beyond the building itself, the site was reimagined with improved traffic circulation, making drop-off and pick-up safer and more efficient for families and visitors.
To achieve such an extensive overhaul while keeping the school open, the work was carefully planned across six phases, spanning two summers and more than a year of construction. This sequencing allowed teaching and learning to continue safely, even as the school was reshaped from the inside out.
The result is an elementary school that feels entirely new—modern in appearance, functional in design, and built to support students for years to come.
