Wheeler High School Athletic Complex

Wheeler High School’s athletic campus has been transformed through a series of phased improvements that modernized facilities and expanded opportunities for student-athletes and the community. Completed across two major projects, the upgrades focused on enhancing performance, durability, and the overall game-day experience.

Initial improvements included the installation of a new turf football field, a new track surface, and an upgraded scoreboard. The turf field provides a vibrant, low-maintenance playing surface that supports year-round use and reduces weather-related disruptions, while the new track and scoreboard elevated both competition and spectator experience.

Building on this momentum, additional upgrades expanded the athletic complex with the addition of a new baseball-softball complex featuring three fields and a centrally located concessions and restroom building. The football facility was further enhanced with a new ticketed entry and a dedicated concessions and restroom building, improving circulation, security, and amenities for large events. The campus-wide improvements were rounded out with resurfaced tennis courts and new fencing.

Together, these projects create a cohesive athletic complex that supports multiple sports, strengthens school pride, and provides Union Township with modern, high-quality facilities designed for long-term use.
