Building the Future: Celebrating Kassandra’s Architectural Licensure
Through years of studying and hard work, Kassandra Rawleigh has passed her ARE’s (Architect Registration Exams) and has officially earned her AIA Architect’s license!
“I chose this career because I wanted a path that combined my interest in art with practical problem-solving,” Kassi shared. “Beyond the day-to-day design work, I value architecture because it allows me to be actively involved in my community and impact the spaces people use every day.”
Navigating the exam process requires a holistic understanding of building systems, codes, and construction far beyond the drawing board—a challenge that has further refined her approach to design.
“Studying for the exams forced me to look past just the aesthetics of design and focus on how all elements of a project function together as a whole,” she said. “Going through that process made me realize that using technical constraints as a means to implement meaningful design is the exact combination of problem-solving and creativity that drew me to architecture to begin with.”
Helping team members grow and thrive within our firm is central to who we are. Her achievement represents both her personal grit and the collaborative environment we strive to maintain every day.
“Completing these tests is a major milestone, and I am incredibly grateful to the team at BCV for supporting me throughout this entire process,” she added. “Having the opportunity at BCV to experience all elements of a project early in my career was invaluable to my growth and directly helped me prepare for these exams. I am excited to apply what I’ve learned to our upcoming projects.”
Having a newly licensed architect on our team who brings both artistic vision and technical precision strengthens the work we deliver to our clients and our community. We couldn’t be prouder of Kassandra’s hard work and well-deserved success.
