To support their growing operations, Brooks Construction undertook a significant project to double the size of their original office building while simultaneously renovating the entire existing facility. The expansion features a prominent two-story office addition and a redesigned main entrance that establishes a modern corporate identity. Inside, the project’s highlights include a state-of-the-art training room equipped with an operable glass wall that opens into a kitchen area, creating a versatile, open-concept space for large-scale company events and education.

The project presented unique structural challenges, particularly in integrating new construction with the original pre-engineered metal building. To ensure stability and support the increased load, the design required reinforcing the existing framework and utilizing helical piles for the new building foundation. This specialized foundation solution allowed the team to build a substantial addition on the existing site while navigating the specific soil and structural constraints of the property.

The resulting headquarters provides a dynamic and collaborative work environment characterized by numerous open meeting areas and semi-open conference rooms. By utilizing glass walls throughout the interior, the design maintains a sense of transparency and connectivity, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the workspace. This transformation successfully balances the technical requirements of a construction firm’s headquarters with the need for a modern, flexible, and inviting office space for staff and visitors.
