Fairfield Community Schools transformed its campus with the development of a comprehensive new athletic complex dedicated to baseball, softball, and tennis. The project featured the installation of high-performance turf fields, energy-efficient LED lighting, modern dugouts, and dedicated press boxes with integrated support spaces. Beyond the fields, the site was developed to enhance the spectator experience with a new entrance plaza, ticketing facilities, and expanded parking. A standout feature of the new tennis complex is a specialized storage building designed with an elevated viewing deck, providing fans with a premier vantage point for matches.

Constructing the complex required extensive site development to manage the campus’s geography and ensure safe, efficient access. The project involved the creation of a new access road and significant engineering work, including the installation of retaining walls and a robust stormwater control system. Precise grading was essential to establish level playing surfaces and a functional parking lot on a site that previously lacked the necessary infrastructure for a complex of this scale.

The completed facility provides a controlled, spectator-friendly environment that centralizes Fairfield’s outdoor athletic programs. By moving these sports to the new complex, the district was able to remove aging facilities and repurpose those central campus areas for additional athletic practice spaces. This strategic expansion not only meets the school’s current competitive needs but also establishes a flexible framework for the campus to grow and adapt to future enrollment and programming requirements.
